Sean O'HairSean O’Hair turned professional in 1999, via the Touring Pro route. His Father in fact financed Sean after selling his family business and promptly enrolled his son in the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. He played various small professional tours before finally making his PGA breakthrough.

The breakthrough did take Sean a few years but he finally made it to the full PGA Tour in 2004. He had a slow start in his first year but had a marvellous season in 2005. He won the John Deere Classic and finished second in the Byron Nelson Championship. He earned over $2m dollars that season and was voted ‘Rookie of the Year’ by the PGA.

By March the following year, Sean was the youngest man in the top fifty golfers in the world. He continued to play well and In 2006 he finished 4th in the Buick Open, 3rd in the Canadian Open. He also did very well in the Majors that year too, he was a top 15 finisher in both the British Open and US PGA and was 26th in the US Open.

Sean returned to winning ways again this year when he won the PODS Championship in March. It was a victory full of character and saw Sean come from three shots behind to win by two shots from Stewart Cink. Sean is currently ranked 28th in the world and this will be his first Ryder Cup.
