Sam Torrance, Bernhard Langer and Ian Woosnam have set three hard acts for Nick Faldo to follow. Winning, however, is what Nick Faldo is synonymous with and it’s a safe bet that he will get the best out of his team. Faldo, who is held in the highest of regard by most players on the European Tour, is the man most want to play for. He has set huge precedents for European Golf over the years and he is the man most European players want to emulate. It is highly unlikely therefore that he will have any difficulties motivating his team. However, playing at the difficult Valhalla course will test his players to the full and Nick Faldo, above all will know, that the American Ryder Cup Team will be strongly motivated to win on home soil.
