Paul CaseyPaul Casey plays on both the European Tour and the US PGA tour. He has won a number of events around the world and has proven himself to be one of the very best players.

He had an excellent amateur career, in America he was the first man to win 3 consecutive Pac-10 Championships (1998, 1999 and 2000). In the third of these victory’s he broke the Championship scoring record, held by Tiger Woods, by 5 shots. In England he won the English Amateur Championship twice in 1999 and 2000. He was also a member of Great Britain and Ireland’s winning 1999 Walker Cup team, where he was only the third player in seventy seven years to record four victories without a single defeat.

Casey joined the European Tour in May 2001 and got off to a bright start, finishing runner-up in his 5th event and a win in his 11th. He ended the season in 22nd place in the European Order of Merit and collected the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award. Casey won two more Tournaments in 2003 and finished 6th in the Order of Merit.

The following year, he was a member of the winning the Ryder Cup Team and also won the WGC for England in partnership with Luke Donald. He also finished 6th in the US Masters. His performance prompted him to join the USPGA Tour, but he has yet to win a Tournament. He made the Ryder Cup Team for a 2nd time in 2006.

Casey has been in the top 20 of the World rankings and in January 2007, reached a career high of 13th in the World. In total he has 8 European Tour wins and several good performances in Major Championships. In his two Ryder Cup appearances thus far, Paul has been involved in 6 matches, winning3, losing 2 and halving 1.
