Nicolas Colsaerts

Nicolas Colsaerts Odds - European Ryder Cup Team

Nicolas Colsaerts will be making his Ryder Cup debut for Europe at Medinah this year after a terrific 12 months on the European Tour. As well as being a rookie, Colsaerts will become the first ever player from Belgium to play in the Ryder Cup making him a massive star back at home. The big man is a massive off the tee which is vital around Medinah and that along with his form made Jose Maria Maria Olazabal select him as one of his two captains picks.

Colsaerts turned pro all the way back in 2000 but it wasn't until the last last couple of years that he has started to make the real breakthrough in the game. His first tournament win came in April 2011 when he won the China Open by 4 strokes to announce himself on the world stage for the very first time. His second win though was his biggest by far as he won the Volvo World Match Play title by beating Graeme McDowell in a tight final in May of 2012.

That success in the World Match Play should stand him in good stead when he plays in the Ryder Cup for the very first time at Medinah this year. He is the only rookie on the team this year but his form this year has been top class and he more than earned his pick from Captain, Jose Maria Olazabal. it will be tough for him to make his debut on American soil but all the signs are that he will be a valuable member of the European Team with his length off the tee likely to make him a popular partner of the first couple of days in Chicago.
