In Europe in 2004 he won the Omega European Masters and the Scandinavian Masters. He capped a great year by being a member of the victorious Ryder Cup Team as well as the winning the WGC World Cup for England with partner, Paul Casey.

By early 2005 he was in the top twenty of the Official World Golf Rankings and his win in the 2006 Honda Classic moved him into the top ten for the first time. Soon afterwards he moved up to ninth and in January 2007 he moved up to seventh in the world. Donald has yet to make the big breakthrough in a Major Championship but his consistency has earned him a place in the top 10 of the world rankings in 2010, he is clearly a man in good form and has an excellent Ryder Cup record.

He plays most of his golf on the PGA Tour these days but did come back to Europe earlier this year, the move paid off as he won the Madrid Masters to claim his first title for four years. His willingness to come over to Europe to play must have been noted by Colin Montgomerie with the European Captains giving one of his wild card picks to Donald.

Donald is a class act, and with that in mind he has to be a good value bet in the Top European Player Betting market on offer for punters, he has a great record in the Ryder Cup and has proved a great man to have in the four balls and foursomes. His steady brand of golf is ideal for the Ryder Cup making him a good man for the team, Montgomerie will have no doubt taken this into account when he selected the Englishman as one of his Captains Pick.

Luke, Along with Tom Watson, had the honour to play with Jack Nicklaus in Jack’s final two rounds of the British Open in 2005 at St Andrews. Donald was a a bit of a star in the 2006 Ryder Cup, he won his singles match against Chad Campbell and won both his foursomes matches in partnership with Sergio Garcia and he will be hoping he can once again play well at Medinah.
