Live Ryder Cup Golf Scores
The USA took the early lead in the 2008 Ryder Cup, winning the morning foursome's by 3 points to one. Europe made a great start and led in three of the games but the USA rallied and turned things completely around. Sergio Garcia maintained his record of never beeing beaten in Ryder Cup foursomes but he and partner Lee Westwood had to win the last three holes against Furyk and Perry to do so. USA won the session 3-1
The afternoon fourballs closed with the USA winning the days session 5.5 against 2.5. Nick Faldo looked distraught after the days play and must wonder if he is in for a huge embarrassment at the end of the match. Nothing has worked for him so far and he will be praying that the situation improves tomorrow.
Europe Captain, Faldo, surprised many by leaving out Sergio Garcia and Lee Westwood for the second mornings foursomes. He has named rookie and debutant, Oliver Wilson to play in the session alongside, Henrik Stenson.
