Ian Poulter - Ryder Cup Team Europe

Ian PoulterIan Poulter first came to prominence when winning the 'Rookie' of the year award in 2000. This set him off to becoming one of the more exciting European Golfing talents.

Poulter is one of those ostentatious golfers, always fetchingly dressed, groomed and manicured. He even has his own clothing designer label these days. Someone once said "that he had better be good if he wants to dress like that" - a challenge Poulter has risen to with considerable aplomb.

Poulter won the Italian Open in 2000 and went on to win at least one Tournament every year until 2005. It is a surprise he hasn't won since, however he has been playing at a much higher level and has had some very creditable finisish's, particularly in the Major Tournament's.

He is currently ranked 26th in the world and made his Ryder Cup debut in 2006, winning his singles match but losing his fourball.
