Hunter Mahan was a wild card pick from Paul Azinger in 2008 in the US victory at Valhalla, but this time he has managed to qualify for the squad automatically and will head to Celtic Manor in great form. He has been steadily rising up the world rankings for some time now and it appears that he is starting to realise his potential at this level.
