After an unbelievable day at Celtic Manor Europe have won back the Ryder Cup by just 1 point, the USA fought back in great style but in the end they came up just short. Graeme McDowell held his nerve on the 17th to claim the win for the home team in one of the most tense finishes in Ryder Cup history. Corey Pavin will be proud of his boys but Europe found the five points they needed to regain the Cup in one of the most memorable Ryder Cups in recent memory.

The weather conditions have played havoc all weekend and the Ryder Cup Singles were played on a Monday for the first time ever. It turned out to be one of the great days though with the Americans putting up a great fight, they came up short though and Colin Montgomerie has been left delighted with his team. Europe will now head across the pond in 2012 as they look to defend their trophy while the Americans will be out for revenge.
